After great insight into the leadership troubles bedevilling Embu County, I have come to the conclusion that the political turmoil stems from a phenomenon known as KANJURA MENTALITY. Remnants of the defunct Local Governments have infected the devolved governments with their hooliganism and lack of decorum. Look; silly impeachment motions on petty issues as President Uhuru Kenyatta noted yesterday emanate from former councillors who infiltrated the devolved system and are now MCAs, the tribalism that is currently ripping apart the countys long standing unity is being fanned by former councillors, grand corruption in the county is being perpetrated by these councillors who do nothing for their people but insist on eating from public coffers. They are the most uncultured and illiterate of leaders and only sing to the tune of whoever bribes them. In light of this, I have decided to join hands with like-minded countymen and women with the aim of petitioning The National Assembly to amend The Elections Act to bar former councillors from contesting elections until a period of 10 years has lapsed after their last term as councillors. This will get rid of the COUNCILLOR MENTALITY in County Assemblies and give the legislatures a new lease of life. Let these wolves shake off the pestilences that they acquired in the Municipal and County Councils before adopting the tag HONOURABLE MEMBER, otherwise well be treated to the same circus every five years. The other immature crop of toddler politicians who ask for Spousal Allowances and others with filthy mouths and cant behave honourably can be handled by the electorate. MAKANJURA WOTE WAKWENDE KABISA!!!!
