After interrogation, DSS grants Asari administrative bail Operatives of the Department of State Service, DSS, fully interrogated the leader of Niger Delta Peoples Volunteer Force, NDPVF, on statements credited to him. After the interrogation, he was released on bail. Scan-News learnt that the Niger Delta leader cooperated fully with his interrogators, providing answers and reasons for his comments. The DSS operatives, however, maintained that his attention would be required at the shortest notice in the course of investigations, a source said. Asari, who arrived at the headquarters of the DSS in Abuja at 9.45am was quizzed for hours and released around 4pm. The ex-militant was invited by the DSS, following his alleged inflammatory statements in connection to the 2015 election, in which he said there will be bloodshed, if President Goodluck Jonathan was not re-elected. The DSS has maintained that no Nigerian is above the law, pointing out that nobody would be allowed to overheat the polity. Marylyn Ogar commenting on Asaris invitation said: “Asari-Dokubu is still with us. He is being interrogated. We invited him, Asari-Dokubu the same way we invited former Minister of Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Mallam el-Rufai. Asari-Dokubo honoured out invited but el-Rifai refused and instead insisting on warrant of arrest. According to her: “El-Rufai was arrested but Asari-Dokubo was not arrested because he honoured our invited and he is now with us undergoing interrogation,” she said.
