After learning this week that my photojournalism professor was in a life threatening accident this week, I dreamed last night that I saw him sitting on a porch enjoying the evening. I stood there and chatted with him a few minutes then went on my way. Sadly, I woke up to a couple of messages letting me know he had passed away. I know that there are a lot of tears falling in and around Nashville today from those who went to Nossi, who knew Donnie and his Family. Theres a few even falling in Africa. Russ would share my photos from Ethiopia this year with Donnie and he was always saying great encouraging things to me while being over here. I got to share my trip to Ethiopia a year and a half ago in Donnies class right before I moved here. Every time I crop an image I think would Donnie approve of this? Haha. What a great teacher and inspiration to a lot of us. Praying for his family and the Nossi community. Heartbreaking.
