So many of us do not know what we are choosing, do not know where our food comes from, or what cruelty exists behind walls that we support. We are disconnected from the life around us, the very energy that gives us life. Take a closer look. Find out where your food comes from, and go there. Maybe if everyone took a family trip to a slaughterhouse, we would question our perceptions and change our choices. Being present in the pain is the first step to responsible living, and it is liberating to realize that we have a choice. Kindness and connection is the ONLY thing that will sustain us in the future.
