After losing a gig I had for 15 years in December... I decided to take advantage of the extra time and work on a couple books... I finished one; got a couple clients and am making almost 2/3 of what I was... Im WELL into the second book, but Im grappling with the fact that Im not making what I was, even though I realize that working on the book is indeed working... Psychologically speaking; its tough when the monthly paychecks arent rolling in like they used to; even though Im trying to wrap my head around the fact that with book #2, Im working towards a paycheck Ill get in a year... it feels like Im working for free...
