After meeting with Superintendent Cappuzzello, Principal Ryser, Athletic Director Mr. Cochran, and Mr. O yesterday evening, and given the concerns of many parents about the busing and taking uniforms home, it has been decided by the Booster Officers along with administration that for the rest of the home games this season, we will have one bus to shuttle the kids to and from the stadium (2 trips) and the uniforms will be stored in the band room as before. This includes all band members regardless of class standing. This decision was made for the good of the entire band. Both Booster Officers and Administration made this decision with the majority of parents that responded to previous Facebook posts for the use of the busing. The busing situation will be discussed again after this marching season with the understanding that busing may be eliminated for the 2015-2016 academic year and beyond. We are discussing alternatives including storing the uniforms during marching season at the old concession stand, which would be renovated per Administration at their cost to make that facility usable for storage. We will also be working on a survey to determine what the concerns are for most parents going forward. Please feel free to contact the Superintendent or any Booster Officer with any questions.
