After much planning and thought, Chris Evans-Abbs and I have - TopicsExpress

After much planning and thought, Chris Evans-Abbs and I have decided to start a new chapter in this book called life...embark on a new journey one might say. We have laughed, lived, and loved a wonderful life here in Austin, Texas. So many new friends were made and we have experienced the amazing culture and weirdness of Austin. I recommend that everybody visit this creative, beautiful city at least once. If anything, just for the live music scene. She has been a captivating city! Just to mention a few... KGSRs Blues on the Green concerts in Zilker Park, Eeyores Birthday Party, Wurstfest, 6th Street, ROT Rally, Andrea Marie, Angels Icehouse, Rainey Street, Poodies Roadhouse, Moonriver Bar, Tuesday Afternoon scrambles at Willie Nelsons Golf course, etc. We have decided to move on to the southern-most point of the states. Key West here we come. I have had the pleasure of working with some wonderful people here. Working for Ben Crenshaw at Austin Golf Club and all the wonderful members at Barton Creek has been a wonderful experience. Lakeside Golfers, you will surely be missed by both of us. It was my pleasure to serve you. All of the wonderful friends we made here will be missed. You have enhanced our lives. Mark Allan Atwood, what an amazing artist you are. Break a leg my friend. Robert Joseph Kinslow, I am so proud of you and Jen and your success at the Briarcliff Bistro & Bacon Bar. I knew you could do it! My neighbor Gary Lesko will be missed, he was part of my morning routine and never failed to get a chuckle out of me while he attempted to control 3 dogs every morning. Leash hell. Denise Harman Henry, Misti Rich, & Ruthie Flanders, words cannot describe what we have shared. Our friendships run deep beneath the surface. I will carry with me always the wisdom you have all shared with me. The bond cannot be broken. Best bar pick-ups ever. Last but not least, Kevin Carroll, at the risk of sounding like Dorothy Gale, Scarecrow, I will miss you most of all. I will miss my backyard sessions and discussions with you. We occasionally went toe to toe on some issues, some of those being the ones that have kept our friendship on fire. You have always challenged me to think beyond a level that I normally would, an admirable quality/talent you have. Stay stubborn my Boston, Irish friend. Keep my seat warm at B.D. Rileys. And, most of all, stop over-analyzing your golf game. You are retired, its supposed to be fun. Watch the Legend of Bagger Vance. You get one more golf cart detail out of me. As for the rest of you, you know who you are, and what you mean to us. Please dont forget us when you raise your martini glasses on Mondays. We will think of all of you as we raise ours. For those of you not in the Texas area...keep your eyes and ears open. Before we head to the Florida Keys, there is a road trip in order. We will be travelling the US. Keep 2 extra places set at your Thanksgiving table. We have no idea where we will for this holiday or whose house we will be crashing. Many of you are on the hit list...from the west coast to the east coast. Hayley, Seth, Rebecca, & Cassandra...see you in the keys. Yay, a new place to visit. Lisa, Ron, Ruthie, & Kevin...please and thank you in advance for the promise to look out for our Caitlin here in Austin. You have no idea the peace of mind this gives us. All yall, come and visit us down in the keys! See you in Florida Fond Kiser.
