After much prayer,thought, and talking it over with my family, I Ben Tony Johnson have made the decision to run for Lawrence County Constable post 1. Here is a little about me personally for those who may not know me that well. Im 39 years old and have been a resident of Sontag for 35 of those years. I am the youngest of 3 sons of Franklin (assistant chief of police in Monticello under JP Rutland 1973-74) and Virginia johnson also life long residents of Sontag. My two brothers are Frank Jr and Billy Johnson. My family and I are all members of Shiloh Baptist church of Sontag where my grandmother, Ethel Johnson, played the piano for over 60 years. I have been married to Donna-Sills Johnson my highschool sweetheart for 15 years. We both attended Lawrence county public schools just as our two children do now. Our daughter Ashley Johnson is 13 years old and our son Anthony Johnson is 11 years old and they both attend Rod Paige Middle school. I am a successful business owner, TJ TRUCKING, out of Sontag for 6 years. I am also a Journeyman lineman with IBEW 903 where i go work on storm relief for victims of hurricaines and bad ice storms. I am a Master Mason in lodge 465. If elected as your new Constable, I will do my very best to be available to all of the wonderful people of post 1 anytime, day or night. I personally know many people of post 1 and I will make it a point to meet as many of you, that I do not know yet, as possible. I want everyone to be comfortable talking with me or asking for my help for any reason. I will be fair and impartial to everyone. I will make my presence know in the communities where the sheriffs dept is stretched thin and cant patrol as often as needed. I will do my best to make our communties safer for all of our children and the elderly. As your constable I will hold this office with the utmost respect and integrity as possible.
