After multiple calls every day, the situation with my Dad has resolved itself in the best possible way. He got a letter from the DMV suspending his right to drive. His customary good judgment kicked in, and he resolved immediately that his driving days are over and will be giving his car to Claire and her husband. I told him I could line up drivers, which I had told him before to deaf ears, but he was very glad to hear it now. We now have nurses bringing him his meds when he is supposed to take them. All this came about without myself having to abandon my role of being on his side.
