After our Son and I spent a week in Dallas with His Sister/our Daughter, coming home for three days to the Bee Cave Grumbles Ranch, we had the chance to go to The Grumbles Broken Shoe Ranch north of Robert Lee, leaving last Thursday eve and returning this past Sunday night. What a great trip ! ! ~ Of course, as most of TEXAS, it was hot/dry/windy, but our Son was able to do some shredding/plowing in His fields, check His cows/calves (Beefmasters), #2 Grandson was with us and of course, me. The Swallow birds had taken over my under side of the roof on my long/wide front entertaining porch. Their nests, when completed, remind me of the Indian ruins/buildings in Colorado ~ professionally built on each other/connected to all the others. Of course, w/the mud nests, the hundreds of MESSY swallows and now hatchlings, my cement, long floor was 2 full of droppings of mud and poop which is like cement when dry. Thankfully, my #2 Grandson power washed my whole front porch 20W x 40L ++ (?) ~ During our trip to The Broken Shoe Ranch, our #1 Grandson spent His July 4th with His sweetie at Her Grandparents ranch in Burnet, TEXAS and our DIL has spent the last week and more now in Dallas with our Daughter in recuperation. Our Son, Grandson and I were invited over to a childhood bestest Friend of our Son who had moved from Fitzhugh community to Robert Lee a couple of years ago. We celebrated a Great July 4th w/them and BBQ steak/trimmings. Of course, during our few days at The BS Ranch, we did remember what July 4th was meant to inform us of and why we celebrate the day. God Bless, and I hope everyone had a Great July 4th and continue w/a Great, cool, rainy (I hope) summer. We had our notice that football two-a-days start about the middle of August and what we need and so on ~ ~ short summer ~ ~ ~
