After painting a clients bedroom today, I couldnt resist but to make a beeline to the grocery store to purchase steaks to put on the grill, as soon as I was finished. I proceeded to take down the chimes and candles of the summer, while turning on the Italian lights on the pergola, while starting fire. I wanted to capture the last moments of the not so warm, but not so cold, temps. I sat on the patio with cap and jacket still on, and taking in the stillness of the mood, and remembering the days that have past. The winds ignited the flames quickly, with steaks ready for grilling. I thought that I would surprise my folks with a nice treat, but seems the surprise was on me. Well, I enjoyed a delectable meal, regardless. Now, after a hot bath, with jazz playing, I can put, yet another day behind. A satisfied client trumps the other stuff.
