After posting this story on Playing for change website i got a wonderful response from them , and got to know more about Hugo Soares he was born in Luanda (Angola) in 1974. He was raised in Brazil and Argentina after his family emigrated from Angola because of the war. A composer, guitarist and singer, his music fuses deep African roots with Brazilian influences. Hugo has lived in Barcelona since 1993 were he became friends withClarence. The two of them used to play soul, reggae and African songs (including Pemba Laka) together in bars and in the streets of Barcelona. Hugo’s voice is one of the sweetest voices on earth– a great mix of joy and nostalgia. I met him in the street of Barcelona I stood aside listening to his song; people gave him the currency , because he gave a beautiful song and I gave him a white butterfly, instantaneously he said, this is much more than a money, this butterflies called my attention this morning while was coming this way, I was wondering who did this, ,he sticked one butterfly on his guitar case and said , I saw your art before you heard my music we had to meet, he explained me that he was not playing for money but he was playing for change, and then said , you are playing for a change, , I am flying for change , he is blessed with a beautiful wife and daughter all of them smiled when I gave them butterflies After posting this story on Playing for change website I got to know about him more , His name is Hugo Soares born in Luanda (Angola) in 1974.
