After reading 88 verses in Numbers 7 that at least on the surface - TopicsExpress

After reading 88 verses in Numbers 7 that at least on the surface don’t “seem” to be too edifying, you are rewarded with this priceless gem: “Now when Moses went into the tent of meeting to speak with Him, he heard the voice speaking to him from above the mercy seat that was on the ark of the testimony, from between the two cherubim, so He spoke to him” (Numbers 7:89) This is why Moses’ face glowed when he would leave the Tent of Meeting: “Whenever Moses went in before the LORD to speak with Him, he would take off the veil until he came out; and whenever he came out and spoke to the sons of Israel what he had been commanded, the sons of Israel would see the face of Moses, that the skin of Moses’ face shone. So Moses would replace the veil over his face until he went in to speak with Him” (Ex 34:34-35) And Paul tells us this should be the daily experience of the Christian who approaches God through Christ: “We all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit” (2 Cor 3:18) He who spends time with Christ will shine like Christ.
