After reading Seaworlds responses I find them offensive. As revealed in the film, Seaworld has repeatedly lied and presented false information -so what type of reliable educational resource can they be? I have lost all respect for them and Jack Hanna who tried to defend their lies. The story may have started out about the death of the trianer but the real story of Blackfish was the imprisonment and enslavement of these Orcas. The tearing away of the young from their mothers, the lack of understanding that different cultural pods can not be mixed, the forced impregnation of the females to produce a labor source for Seaworld and the other marine parks so they can make their money, throwing them food when they perform, and the total lack of humane treatment is nothing short of slavery!. Seaworld can do what it claims it is for and rehabilitate these animals and release them. No ONE, NO One! can recreate the worlds oceans in a concrete bunker where the Orcas are not allowed to live free. Seaworld should be ashamed to even think they can defend their treatment of these beings. I saw the film last Thursday, the first night it aired and it is now Monday and I am still upset. I wish I had all the money in the world to do something to help these souls.
