After reading an article about how ISIL treats those it conquers, and how much brainwashing goes on to justify the treatment given to various tribes as they are overtaken, the following thought struck me, especially as we have just gone through another election where bigotry was so overt, it hurt. Arent we going through the same brain washing now, thanks to FOX, Tea Party, and others who have railed against President Obama, since he was Candidate Obama? How about the African Americans in the southern states, even now, more than 140 years after the Civil War. Funny thing is, their ancestors didnt come her willingly, they were torn from their African homeland by slavers and brought to our shores to serve white masters, without dignity, I might add, family members sold to the highest bidder, women raped by their masters, their mulatto children also enslaved by their fathers. Come to think of it, Native American Indians were not treated much better, even though we came to their land, not they to our. Gee, we are such an accommodating nation, we are still brainwashing white Americans to hate blacks, Latinos, Asians, any and everything different than white. Americans truly have no right to even look down at the middle east, we are doing it here, also, just in a slightly different way, except for those exceptions in Florida, Missouri, and some of the other southern states. where it is open season on people of African heritage. Isnt it time we as a nation became civilized, rather than continue with the hurtful and insidious rhetoric we are still dispensing through the airwaves and in government chambers, and even in some cases in our houses of worship. I find it all very disgusting and most certainly I am not the only one.
