After reading so much commentary about last nights tragedy - TopicsExpress

After reading so much commentary about last nights tragedy concerning Kevin Ward, here is my response to a variety of statements people have made.......... I think it was an accident. I think Tony Stewart feels bad. I think, sadly,it has become more about Mr Stewart than the young man who died. I think if Tony Stewart wasnt involved most people would never know about Wards death. I think ,in the heat of the moment, he left his vehicle and made a bad choice that cost him his life. I dont think he had a death wish. I think it was a move made in he heat of competition and not that he is a retard as so many classy people have referred to him as. I also think none of us knew him or Mr Stewart and we should sympathize for those who are actually involved. Because we are not. We are not the family of that kid, a friend of the NASCAR star, the investigator or police. We sure as hell arent the judge and jury. One last thing.........some have been super critical of Mr Ward. Everyone reading this has at some point done something Ill- advised, such as drinking and driving, crossing in the middle of the block, taking medicine not to the letter of the directions, hooking up with a girl whose boyfriend owns a gun, swimming drunk or diving head first into shallow water or a million other things that if the planets line up correctly, can end your life. Each person reading this is reading it because luck was on your side that day and you didnt pay the full price for your actions. Just as I recognize that I never did. Stop calling the kid names or questioning his judgment. He and his family paid with his life. I repeat, SOMEONE DIED !!! That is the only thing that matters here. They shouldnt have to pay attention to cold and vicious comments as well. That is all......
