After reading the Cuba Free Press account of Bourbon Police Officer Stones shooting of Gary Wenzel, it seems Crawford County and the Bourbon Police have made this a very one sided issue, just to name a few of the Red Flags in the Article,1. Hand Chosen 6 man jury for the in quest,2. Unarmed victim, 3. Officer Stone fearing for his life from a the unarmed victim, 4. Just so happens no audio from the dash camera, 5. Just so happens the victim was out of the camera frame when shooting started,6. Officer Stone was never called to testify of his own actions , when only he and the victim were the only on es present, seems like a lot of questionable what ifs! What is the pursuit policy of Bourbon PD, seems chasing someone out Hwy J and yet even smaller roads at speeds upto 100 mph put a lot of lives in danger, the paper stated the officer seen the victim clearly and knew who he was so why not break off the chase and arrest him in a safe setting?, Do the Bourbon Police have Tasers, or have they even heard of them, I would assume he was using a 40 cal service weapon wouldnt you think the shot to the hip would have put the victim on the ground? Surely the second shot to the lower abdomen would have! Third shot to the victims head sounds nothing short of an execution to me, yet Crawford County has a citizen held for trial that was trying to protect his property and was surely as afraid for his own life as Officer Stone was, yet he is facing Murder Charges, where is the justice in Crawford County??
