After seeing the sign No drinks or food allowed on the Dr. office - TopicsExpress

After seeing the sign No drinks or food allowed on the Dr. office door, I gazed down at my Café Mocha and sighed. I decided to go down to the first floor pharmacy and give it to my daughter where she was waiting. Waiting for the elevator the second time, a woman visibly upset, stood next to me. Her shoulders slumped down with care as she mumbled... I cant take this anymore. We entered the elevator together and I asked, Are you ok? She replied in the negative and that if she could, she would go to Detroit and jump off the bridge. I asked her if she wanted to tell me about it. Oh she said, no, its such a long story. I was at a total loss, I didnt know what to do or say. Then a thought came: prayer. I asked her if I could pray with her. She nodded, yes. With my hand on this stranger, I prayed that the Lord would envelope her with His presence and love. I prayed for the Lord to reveal Himself to her. When the doors opened, she thanked me and we both left with tear filled eyes. She went into another office down the hall. The Lord impressed on me to go after her and give her my name and number. Perhaps, she will call to talk. It was not a chance meeting that I had today with a lady named Sonya. It was not coincidence that I had a drink that I couldnt take into the Drs office. I was waiting for that elevator at just the right time. Those precise moments up two floors in an elevator were planned by a Sovereign God. A lady that was utterly depressed and desperately in need of hope was brought before the Throne of Grace. May the Lord make His face to shine on Sonya and perhaps, you can pray along with me for her soul. Carrie
