After seeking a lot of input, much discussion and review, the SHFC Board of Directors have adopted a new Vision Statement for the church as follows. While continuing to be a safe harbor and center of worship to all people seeking refuge and hope, our vision is to step out of the boat and walk by faith in our commitment to: share the unconditional Love and affirming message of hope that Jesus Christ shared during his ministry, establish and maintain strong connections within our church family through group activities involving people of all ages, increase our membership and ministry through faithful outreach, modern and creative advertising, and the initiation of a Sunday morning worship experience, and work toward the ownership of our own land, church building, and church vehicle to allow for even more growth and opportunities for ministry to all who take haven in our Safe Harbor.
