After sincere words of reconciliation, and sincere pleadings to accept the vote whichever way it went, and having worked through feelings of anger, hurt, emptiness and discontent, I have the incredibly emaciating feeling that this is not over. The pictures from George Square last night sealed it for me. 45% of us cannot be ignored. It has been proven that the over 65s sealed the deal, because they were frightened for their pensions. They were conned by untruths. The younger people of Scotland voted Yes in incredible numbers. The promises are already in disarray. They were made by three people who did not have the mandate to deliver. I will be a member of the 45. I will be so until Westminster delivers. If it does not, then that 45 will grow. I have no hopes except that as a nation we can calm ourselves and wait for our next opportunity. I believe it will come sooner than we expected.
