After six years of loyalty and love, Vela was brought to Brooklyn ACC because she reportedly “bit” the owner’s granddaughter. No explanation; what was going on at the time? What sort of bite? No doubt they just thought that ACC would “take care” of their problem and ACC promptly accommodated them by putting Vela on tomorrow morning’s euthanasia list. Vela is a gorgeous dog and no doubt wondering why she’s sitting in a cage all of a sudden. We know that she’s real smart, knows tons of commands and is bi-lingual! We know that she did fine on her SAFER, and she didn’t go after the other dog who came in the room. She just wanted to leave… and who could blame her for that? Tonight is her last chance - someone needs to speak for Vela, she can’t scream and help herself. She needs an experienced foster or adopter; are you Vela’s angel? Speak up now; tomorrow will be too late!
