After some discussions with my German relatives....we have a menu for this Saturdays Oktoberfest inspired Paddock to Plate Night. Apparently, it involves lots of Potatoes, and Pork. Two things we happen to have! I think its worth coming just for these desserts???Heres the menu: Entree: -Garlic Bread - Local Bread & Our Organic Garlic. $8 - Kartoffelpuffer with Apple Mousse. $12 (Potato Pancakes with Pink Lady Apple Sauce) -Schinken Platte- German taster Plate. Rye Toasts, Different Sausages, Dill Pickles, and a selection of other tasty morsels. -Rheindorf’s Favourite - Garlic Prawns and Roasted Red & Yellow Peppers in White Wine Creamy Sauce. Served with Crusty Bread. $12 Main: Jaegerschnitzel. Pork Schnitzel with Mushroom Sauce $28 Pork Schnitzel, served with a Creamy Mushroom Sauce, Warm Potato Salad and House made Sauerkraut. Lamb Shank Pot Pie $28 Our Farm Lamb, braised in Local Cabernet Sauvignon and Seasonal Vegetables, topped with flaky Puff Pastry. Served with Seasonal Salad. Crumbed King George Whiting $25 Strips of Whiting, crumbed in Panko, served with a House Made Tart tare Sauce, Lemon Seasoned Fries and a Seasonal Salad. Chicken and Broccoli Curry $26 Tender Chicken combines with freshly picked Purple Sprouting Broccoli from the garden in a mild curry sauce. Served with Golden Rice. German Sausage Plate $26 Three German Sausages, Potato Rosti, Mustard Sauce, served with Fresh Steamed Asparagus. Dessert: -------------------------------------------------- Baked Strawberry Cheese Cake $12 Baked Lemon Cheese Cake, topped with Macerated Strawberies and Chantilly Cream. ------------------------------------------------- Black Forest Cake $12 Layers of Dark Chocolate cake, Ganache, Sour Cherries, Whipped Cream and Raspberry Liquor. -------------------------------------------------- Warm German Cake $12 My Grandpa’s Recipe. My favourite way with this cake! Baked with Blood Plums dropped in the batter. Served warm with Homemade Custard. -------------------------------------------------- Apple Strudel $12 Layers of Filo Pastry with Apples, Cinnamon and Sugar. Served with Vanilla Bean Ice Cream.
