After some research, both anecdotal and through a survey, it has been decided to update and replace our club kit and supplier. Our current kit has been in circulation since March 2010 and has served us well. However members have increasingly voiced problems with this kit. The main problems being; •Bib short chamois is inadequate •Jersey material is not technical cycling material •Expensive, for what you get •Outdated •Colours fade and wash out easily •Doesn’t appeal to the young A sub committee of Brian Steele and Jimmy MacFerran started to investigate a new kit design and supplier a few weeks back. They have invested a considerable amount of time and effort into this process. Brian has been in contact with various suppliers and has met representatives from Bio Racer. After a lot of interaction Bio Racer were chosen as the supplier. Bio Racer were chosen because of the quality and range of their products, their pricing structure, a local representative being available to iron out problems etc and their enthusiasm for our venture! They have provided two possible kits. Proposal 1 is in keeping with the heritage of our club and colours. We feel it is a modern and classical version of our jersey. The blue has been darkened a little to retain this classical look. Proposal 2 is loosely based on the current MoviStar kit. The bands on the sleeve are reflective. Both designs are very sharp and modern. The 2 proposals below shall be voted upon at our forthcoming AGM with a simple show of hands. Brian has arranged a sizing kit to be available on the 16th November. Bio Racers sizing range from 1 to 10 so everyone can get a very close and personal fit. This will be available to view from 1pm, one hour before the AGM. The Committees are aware that many members have recently bought kit (our last order was Spring 2014). Therefore a subsidy package has been agreed for the first order of new kit. The details of the package will be worked out exactly when the size of the order is finalised. The Committees also understand that not everyone will be in a position to purchase new kit and therefore feel it is completely acceptable to wear any of our original kit.
