After speaking with members of the Coalition, we have decided to post the following appeal: We all have family budgets. Some households are in better financial shape than others. I have heard all too often: just got back from Spain, or my wife and I are going out for dinner. Again, very often, these are big-ticket purchases. Holidays in the thousands of dollars, dinners in the hundreds. Those who are indeed on tight budgets need not read any further. What was the tax/tip paid on such a purchase? On a dinner, @ 15% , the tip is likely $20 to $30. On a holiday, it is much more. We, the Coalition are asking that the Community keep this in mind next time you pull out your wallet. Please keep a tally somewhere about money that is being spent ( we dont begrudge you!!) and set just a small percentage of that aside in a jar, or near your nightstand. Even 5% to 10% of the bills from dinners out will soon add up. At the end of the month, please forward the money set aside to help a hero on the front lines in Eastern Ukraine. Id like to think that a soldiers life is worth the equivalent of the tip you left at your last dinner out. Please help by donating at UkrCanCo.org
