After spending the morning watching Colton be poked and prodded - TopicsExpress

After spending the morning watching Colton be poked and prodded getting his braces off, I made an unexpected trip to the dentist. I had a crown break off a good while back that I keep putting off getting fixed because of major dental anxiety. Last night I was eating a hamburger and bit down on what felt like a large gravel. I thought I had broken my tooth off. It was not the same side as the broken crown but the other. I have not been able to chew or bite down on anything on that side since last night. I sucked it up and went upstairs in the building and got a same day appointment. Called Kipp Bradley at work all freaked out about what they might have to do or tell me needed to be done. He left work and came to hold my hand or hold me down if needed. I was expecting terrible news since I had not been to the dentist in three years, yes I know that is terrible. I have had five major surgeries but cannot stand the thought of dental work. I was expecting to hear I would loose the tooth with the crown broken and that I had done major damaged to the other one. So glad to hear nothing broken except what I already knew no, cavities, need a filling or two replaced from years ago. Still having contact pain on the other tooth, he seems to think I could have bruised it with whatever I had bitten down on last night. Extensive xrays showed no damaged, this tooth dose have a crown on it also. Any dental people out there with knowledge on this I would appreciate your input as I am putting off the repairs until next week because of an event this weekend.
