After spending the past week in the hospital and realizing that worrying about how much this is going to cost has not been on our minds at all, we are aware of how very fortunate we are to have insurance that makes this lengthy stay, lots of tests, doctors and prescriptions merely a checklist of things that must be done to make our daughter healthy and well again. We can concentrate on her and the care and maintenance plan in place for her over the next year and not really worry about anything other than our deductibles and co-pays. To think that not everyone in this country has that privilege is unconscionable and heartbreaking.
