After stalling with some darn good music videos, stills and spots I finally appeared around fifteen to twenty minutes into the show holding my cell phone to my right ear. It seems that everyone wants to conduct business with me between 3pm and 6pm when the show is on! Still holding for her(the lady from social security) to come back on the phone. Obviously this is business I have to handle on their schedule as I cant afford ANY delays in this process. Everything hinges on it and thats including me being able to keep doing an online show on any kind of regular basis! Keep in mind, 75% of my show revenue goes away in 3-4 weeks! After wrestling with it for almost a year, I now realize that I am not well. I so dont want this disability thing to make me feel like it frequently does, that Ive given up and now will just be a number in society. I often felt like I was just a number from 2007-2009. 93089-020 is a sequence of numbers I will never forget! It was a feeling I never want to experience again. Ive had quite a few folks and that includes my two best friends that have stressed to me that doing my online show keeps me greatly contributing to society! Itll be an incredible euphoria doing my internet show soon simply because I want to and not because I have to!! Ive learned after two and a half months of doing this type program, that its a platform that I wont necessarily have to keep on a set-time or daily basis. I feel that a 3-5:30 afternoon show every Monday, Wednesday and Friday would be suffice. Plus with USTREAM and the flexibility, if something major breaks, I dont have to wait for my scheduled time to roll back around like I have all these years because I can simply go on immediately with my thoughts and opinions on the matter. Although it wont draw much of a viewership, Im quite confident that when college football season arrives in four months, late Saturday nights or early morning on Sundays, Ill go on with a fifteen to twenty minute broadcast giving my thoughts on games involving SEC teams and how they performed etc. and obviously feature how my beloved Crimson Tide did in their game!! I embrace the fact that the past 30 shows are archived on USTREAM and actually so far, all of the forty-two Rick Knight Shows to date are still available for on-demand playback, so its obvious that USTREAM saves more than the thirty they guarantee. WIXE in North Carolina is the only show Ive ever done that was live online and archived until now and that Carolina program was audio only. This platform consists of video too, which Im not crazy about, but unlike Mix in the Morning where I was made to look and be like someone that Im really not, on this show I can dress and act like I always do and I love coming up with and making the many stills(images and graphics) that you see a great deal on my program. I was allowed to make a majority of the ones that were used on the Mix during my time there. I probably shouldnt say allowed because I never asked. I just started making them at home and then would forward to our great switchers upstairs. When I finally did go on live to explain the delay, the camera is horribly out of focus and Im trying to figure out how to adjust that and its not a big shock to anyone that Im technically challenged. I mean come on, my VCR has been flashing midnight for almost ten years and everytime I move and plug it back in, it does the same exact thing! Wille Robertson of Duck Dynasty is in town tonight and I have a friend here from Atlanta that says he can come run me over there to meet him, so I have no idea when he will be stopping by 3E. Let me get back to this call so I can hurry up and wait!! I ll be back on when I can today, tonight or maybe even tomorrow and fully plan to be on at the regular time of 3pm on Monday!! Who selects the on-hold music some of these places play?? Have a fantastic Friday night!! Love all yall!!.....
