After supervising the boys getting their haircut by the very sweet barber Sam - interesting discussion on Harry Potter but what I really wanted to ask him about was the whole hipster beard thing going on there! One of my jobs today was to go and check out the local gym. I know...time to face the fact that I am sitting at the top end of my weight discomfort zone...when things dont quite fit as I would like... As some of you know my weight loss journey began about 6 years ago when I was a big, big girlie (read 160.4 kg, big. if you trawl back through my photos there is proof....but trust me you dont actually need to!)...and one of the steps after lapband was to learn to exercise....an integral part of losing the weight and for me an extremely foreign and daunting concept... there is a women only gym just up the road....its 24 hr, so no excuses as to not finding the time and provides all the usual..classes, equipment and fairly friendly staff. Of course its UPSTAIRS...so after working out the hips, thighs and buns...one will be at risk of breaking said hip when the thighs give way walking back down the stairs.... so here I am....armed with a five day pass...and the times etc. no excuses except to make the first step and pull on the bike pants and go. SO thank you Claudi (my most awesome PT, who was on my journey for about 50 kg ....for instilling in me the knowledge that I wont actually die from exercising.....and taught me that even I can run....well jog fast.....awkwardly! Tomorrow I begin the journey back to a butt of steel! Roll on Tuesday!
