After talking to two different people..hearing their stories in relation to asking the church for help...and all getting the same answer, my first reaction, often times is anger and a certain indignation towards the church. I cant have that anymore. Why? Because I realize that the church of the West is bankrupt. It is in deep poverty. I can no more expect the church to help me than I can expect to borrow 100 dollars from a homeless man. God has lovingly rebuked me for seeking to extract riches from the poor. So then my message to the church of America is this: you are in poverty, a deep poverty, and worse, you operate under the delusion of riches as you adorn yourselves with fools gold. 17 You say, ‘I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’ But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked. 18 I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see. Revelation 3:17-18
