After the biggest medical scare of my life, things seem to be - TopicsExpress

After the biggest medical scare of my life, things seem to be getting back to normal. If youve seen posts of my family members you know that while I was taking Marivi Howell-Arza on a New England college tour, I had some kind of episode in New Haven that rendered me severely dizzy and unable to walk. I had opportunity to sample the superior quality of medical care in the Yale-New Haven system which started with a 60 second 911 response. Fortunately while they were doing diagnostics at Yale New Haven Hospital, Marivi was still able to take her Yale tour and when she returned to stay with me at the ER, she was treated to a tour she wouldnt have had access to otherwise. As she is still planning a pre-med track in college, she was actually able to observe and participate in the medical student tour that stopped in. It seems that my symptoms were atypical enough to make me the main event all that day for residents and students. After ruling out a stroke and deciding on the diagnosis of inner ear inflammation (cause unknown) I began to improve with medication and only had to spend one night in the hospital. Im now home and on the mend. Hopefully Ill be back to normal in a couple of days. I know many of you responded to Maria C Arzas and Marivis posts, so thanks for all your thoughts, prayers, and best wishes.
