After the election, I was hopeful President Obama and Congress - TopicsExpress

After the election, I was hopeful President Obama and Congress could come together to work on the big issues facing our country. I have tried to keep my comments positive but I cannot be silent when the President of the United States, who allegedly ran for office to make the The White House more transparent, continues to blatantly lie to Americans. Last year the President won PolitiFact’s Lie of the Year with his “If you like your current plan, you will be able to keep it” comment. By judging the President’s reaction to the comments made by #Obamacare architect Jonathan Gruber, he may take home Politifact’s dubious distinction again. In case you haven’t heard, Jonathan Gruber helped write #Obamacare. He was caught on camera telling an audience that in order to pass Obamacare, he and the President intentionally kept Americans in the dark. Gruber went even further and said, “Call it the stupidity of the American voter.” Ive included a video of his comments below. Yesterday, President Obama was asked about Gruber and his comments. He replied, “The fact that an adviser who was never on our staff expressed an opinion that I completely disagree with in terms of the voters is not a reflection on the actual process that was run. What the President fails to mention that he valued Gruber’s opinions so much that he hired him on as a consultant to the White House, paying him more than he pays his staffers. For his ideas and insight, Gruber was paid $400,000 American #taxpayer dollars. Even the Washington Post has called the President’s bluff on his attempt to save face. “This, again, is Democrats trying to slice and dice Grubers role in the process, saying he was never on the staff suggests he wasnt really all that involved. But again, he was paid $400,000 to consult on the matter. As American taxpayers, we should all hope he did something to earn that money,” the Post reports. What do you think? Is President Barack Obama’s #Gruber Lie the Lie of the Year?
