After the first novel, Good Guys Finish Last, many readers encouraged me to keep writing in a romantic voice. I had a story to tell, and I needed to share some of the taboo attitudes and behaviors of our society. Even though a lot believe race conditions have changed over the years, race and ethnicity still matters when it comes to the heart.
