After the footage shown on ITN West Midlands and Northants sabs decided to pay a visit to the North Cotswold Hunt. As we turned up they were moving off and sabs followed the hunt on foot. We managed to keep the hunt moving for sometime. They then moved swiftly away from us and when we caught up with them again the hounds were in full cry. We positioned ourselves accordingly and the fox ran closely past the sabs who then went to intervene and our presence stopped the hounds from pursuing the fox. We stayed around to make sure that the huntsman (Nigel Peel) didnt try to get back on the scent line of the fox. Once we were happy to move on we caught back up with the hunt and spend the next hour moving them on. Foots sabs then acted on advice from the van and we then found the hunt with the hounds in full cry again in the area which featured in the ITN report (see photos) where foxes where caught on video being fed. The hounds were in full cry chasing a fox and luckily another small group of sabs that were in the van intercepted and stopped them. The huntsman then did a U turn and again went back into the same area. Foot sabs followed and waited around in the area as they heard a shout from the hunt and then a few minutes later yet another fox ran past the sabs. We waited until we felt it was safe to carry on and soon found the hunt again. The hounds were in cry again and were chasing a small deer, again sabs intervened and the deer got away. At this point the huntsman took the hounds into a very large area and was obviously trying to avoid being spotted by the sabs. We will be posting up footage of today shortly.
