After the highs of the past few days meeting some truly gracious, kind, charming and lovely people here in Bethlehem it is back down to earth with a solemn thud watching Aston Villa play Sunderland back home on the box. That has got to be one of the most uninspiring and dullest first halves of pretend football I have ever seen. Only the gods know how both teams are still in the Premiership, such is the lack of quality, poor skill levels and zero invention. Lets hope the second half improves though I doubt it!! As for the past few days, Ive met some excellent people here and too many to mention individually. But I thoroughly enjoyed being a caveman inside Scott Steinbergs cavern of rock & roll memorabilia and music - fascinating! And what a lovely couple he and his wife are :) Last night Rosemary and I were treated to a quite delightful night out at The Speakeasy at The Bookstore here in Bethlehem courtesy of David Follweiler & his wife with a night of 1920s jazz, excellent food, good company, fine cocktails and later, a gesture of kindness from David that really was touching.
