After the meeting, Roger, Linda, Beth, and Mary allowed me to talk a bit out Middle-Earth video games. There is a game to be released in October called Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor, which Id love to hear everyones opinions on - as Tolkien fans, not necessarily gamers (though if you are, your comments are welcome, too!). It is an open world role-playing game set between The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. (Originally, Id thought it was set in the kingdom of Arnor, but that is apparently very incorrect [which is sad because I think thatd be an awesome setting].) Im posting the CG trailer and a plot description below. As a (licensed) story set in Tolkiens world, what do you guys think about it? Talion, a ranger of Gondor responsible for guarding the Black Gate of Mordor, and his family are killed by Saurons armies, but Talion is later revived with wraith-like abilities by the leader of the dead army in The Return of the King and heads into Mordor to exact his revenge. youtube/watch?v=X8hoTfZ3vUc
