After the show last night, Siu and I went to a local pub where a young drunk man invited himself into our booth to sit next to Siu and tell us how interesting he found us. Though he seemed harmless, theres no way he could have even seen me until he sat down, so Im guessing it was Siu he actually found interesting, and perhaps - upon sitting down - he had been hoping to find her speaking with another female, rather than me. In any case, we both insisted we were boring, but he challenged us to prove that by telling him something about ourselves. On one hand, we simply wanted him to leave, as - up until to his arrival - we had been having a good conversation that we felt no need to include him in, but on the other, I was admittedly quite curious as to what his game was, so I asked him to tell us something about himself first. He wasnt having any of that, however, turning the question right back on us, so we were pleased that our food arrived at that point, and he properly took this as a cue to leave. Before walking out the door, however (with a pretty young blond clinging to his shoulder), he dropped a napkin on our table upon which he had scribbled: Im know I am right that you are both interesting. I hope we have an opportunity to talk another time. Odd.
