After watching American Sniper, this is what I have to say. There is a difference between protesting the war and protesting the military. To this day, I still believe that invading Iraq was wrong, but I have nothing but respect and admiration for our armed forces, regardless of my opinion of the war that they fought and died for. It is the choice of our troops to join the service and there are consequences for their service, but there is no excuse to ignore their suffering. This movie provides a lot of insight as to what happens to our troops and their families in the aftermath. As a country, we owe it to our veterans to take better care of them. It all starts with raising awareness and taking action.
