After watching the Redskins have the referees completely ruined any chances they had to win their game yesterday, I have to sit back today and wonder how the NFL could make things right. There is no way to go back and replay the final drive, nor should they.... however the Redskins deserve more than an apology from the NFL office. Im thinking the league needs to award the Redskins a compensation pick at the end of the 4th round. Not because the Redskins were going to win the super bowl or even make the playoffs this year, and not because they would have won the game (who knows if they would have even tied the game on the final drive) but because its the right thing to do. The referees should not be the ones who decide whether a team wins or not. Mistakes happen, but this is possibly the biggest officiating blunder ever. The NFL has already stated they might take a draft pick away from the Steelers ofr Mike Tomlin being on the field during a kickoff, so if its right to potentially take away draft picks because of a mistake by a coach, then its right for the NFL to award a draft pick to a team for the mistakes of officials. Now we all know this will never happen, but it should.
