After watching the conclave video it got me thinking about White Dwarf. This in turn got me thinking about terrain. For me I have fond memories of a White Dwarf which had card barricades, an Imperial chapel and even a fleet for battle fleet Gothic (to get you playing!). I also remember an edition where Necron terrain was being made in second edition including a pyramid and other bits. White Dwarf for me represents Games Workshop moving completely away from the home made battlefield feeling which encouraged me to make loads of stuff as a child. I felt involved more in a war torn universe when i could make oil refineries, barricades and fuel dumps from home made pieces. I do not doubt the quality of the stuff they are making these days but terrain and white dwarf somehow feel hollow and not worth as much :( What do you guys think about that? I dont mean this as a Games Workshop rage thread, but how people interpret terrain, White Dwarf/Visions/Gossip rag.
