After we moved from TX to KS, we downsized our personal belongings to the point that we didnt even fill the truck from KS to VA. The moving company was able to pick up a second small shipment for someone else headed to WV. After the move we were shocked that our household goods weight had increased between the two moves! How could that be possible? For this move Ive requested to be present when the moving truck is weighed, at both the empty and full weight-ins. We are donating/disposing of even more household goods before this move, so I am curious to see how our truck weigh-ins turn out this time around. Thankfully, I feel very comfortable with the moving company, and their representative seemed more than happy to allow me to watch the weigh-ins.
