After winning the battle of the weather, both the seconds and thirds enjoyed victories against tough opponents. The second team gained full revenge on cross Tamar rivals Tavistock with a 3-1victory against the Devon side who will be kicking themselves for their lack of discipline that cost them dear both on and off the pitch. This was a full bloodied derby and it was only a surprise that it took 20 minutes for the first goal - which came from the penalty spot - and was cooly converted by Town captain Dan Sweet. Tavistocks world turned upside down shortly afterwards when they again committed suicide in their own box with a handball - although this time the keeper saved well from Sweets spot kick. Tavistock lost control for a period and could have had more than the one player red-carded for rash challenges as they looked like losing the plot. However after the break there was a new discipline about the visitors and this was rewarded when they levelled, through another penalty, on the hour. Their joy was shortlived though as the home side woke up and began again to dominate the game. Five minutes after the Lambs leveller Phil Burgoyne fired the home side ahead and late on he added his second and Towns third to record a great derby victory. Meanwhile on Marsh 2, the thirds took their league run of victories to four as they saw off a plucky St Stephen team from Clay Country. In the end it took a late goal from Liam Bryant to secure the points but it showed once again the promise coming from the Duchy boys as they continue to put pressure on the leaders in Division Three.
