After years of work with our partners and allies, were finally seeing momentum for reform of our broken chemical laws. This is fabulous news, but the chemical industry has jumped on the bandwagon calling for reform, and you know industrys idea of chemical regulation is very different from women at risk of and living with breast cancer. The U.S. House of Representatives is slated to hold a hearing soon on the Chemical Safety Improvement Act, a chemical reform bill that does not go nearly far enough to protect public health as written. You know lawmakers are hearing from the chemical industry on this issue, but theyre also hearing from us. This October, 32,000 of you made it clear that you want strong regulation of the toxic chemicals that are making us sick. Thanks for being bold and fearless with us in the face of a billion dollar industry.
