After your driving test. What many people dont realise is that - TopicsExpress

After your driving test. What many people dont realise is that after your driving test, the registration of the vehicle you used for your test (which is recorded on the form marked by the examiner) is compared against a national database to ensure that the car is correctly insured and has a valid MOT - if required. If its found that either the insurance or MOT is invalid then that also automatically invalidates the test result, even if the candidate has passed! This should be no problem if you were taught by a driving instructor in their driving school car because their car insurance is specific to their role. However, if you were taught in your own car you should checked that the insurance covers you for the driving test. Just because it covers you while learning does not necessarily mean that it will also cover the driving test so check to make sure. What a shame, and a waste of money, to have your pass revoked because the insurance on the car you used for test didnt cover you for that purpose or the MOT had expired.
