Aftermath moments: Its been a week almost to the hour when the tent guys came & parked the tent. Then there was the party on Friday night with a bunch of folks Id never met before, all of whom were really great folks to meet & be with. . . . Then the wedding the next day, which was, to use an overused term, awesome. . . . Then the evening get together at the hotel, which was also awesome. . . . And breakfast the next morning, all bleary eyed & half-baked. . . . From which I can deduce the following: 1. FaceBook sucks. Id rather be with real people. 2. All my best friends live too goddamn far away. 3. I need to find something that gets me around people. Being alone, by myself, in this house, all day, bouncing from do-this to do-that like a pinball, well, that sucks. 4. When Cindy retires, we are going to go places and bother the living shit out of people we know, even if they dont know were gonna do it. So there. 5. FaceBook sucks. Id rather be with real people. 6. I aint sure about ham radio. It may not suck. I aint been on the air with folks in so long I cant remember. But Im pretty sure, given a choice, Id rather be with real people.
