Ag Manpower Minister Tan Chuan-Jin said that the review is timely as Singapore seeks to transform the economy and help Singaporeans fulfil their career aspirations at the same time. He added the government hopes to better anticipate future challenges and uncertainties faced by companies and workforce, so that enhancements to the CET system can be made in time. The review with changes to be made to the learning and training programmes, is essential to better prepare our human resources to meet the needs of our economy. Our workforce also needs to stay abreast of changes/ trends in the global ecomony.
