Again, *THANK YOU* all for the love and support you are showing me and my family! It means so much to us! I talked to my surgeon this afternoon after he met with the tumor board. The boards recommendation is that I wait 6 weeks and have another MRI. He said needle biopsy is not an option. Surgical removal IS an option, but it would be a very invasive and difficult surgery. Of course, this made me very nervous...the thought of leaving this thing inside my body for another 6 weeks?!?! Then I found out that one of the specialists on the board happens to be a close friend of Less brother, Lane. Les has his number and he called him. He reassured us that he would make the same decision for his own wife or daughter. He said the risks of the surgery far outweigh the risk of waiting. If this thing is cancer, something that size has been there for at least a year and 6 more weeks will not affect the outcome. He also reassured us the Dr. Lee is an excellent Dr. and we are in good hands. So, I will have a follow-up MRI in 6 weeks to compare and look for changes in size, density, etc. We are now feeling at peace with this decision and hoping that this is something benign.
