Against All Odds July 30th, 2013 It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God. Have you ever been considered the under-dog? No matter what you did, no one really took you seriously. Have you ever had to work twice as hard as others. Because of your size or gender, no one wanted to take a chance on you. Have you ever felt stepped on by life? After all the love you gave, you received just the opposite. Have you ever had to overcome setbacks and misfortunes in life? Maybe you were born with a defect or unique trait. So often in our lives, we find ourselves fighting just to be appreciated. Can you relate to any of these questions? Do you know someone who can? Today, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you. If you think about all you have endured in life, you understand that it was through the power of the Lord. My friend, Against All Odds you made it. You are where you are in life because you refused to give up. The Bible declares in Romans 8:37 - Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us. No matter what the obstacle is, you are able to conquer it through Him (Jesus) who loves you. Whatever setback you experienced in life, God was/is still able to use it for His glory. The [one] thing the enemy desired to use in your defeat, is the same thing God used in your victory. Against All Odds! The Bible declares in Isaiah 54:17 - No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD. My brother, my sister, Against All Odds you have overcome your dilemmas. When you set out on your journey, no one really believed you had a chance. No one trusted in your confidence. Many laughed in your face. Some walked away. Through your faith and perseverance, look at yourself now. Against All Odds! The Bible declares in Romans 8:31 - What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? Dear friend, you must understand who you are in the Lord. With God, you are always in the majority. No matter what the natural eye perceives. No matter how you feel. God does not live according to what man says, but man lives according to what God has said. The Bible declares in 1 John 4:4 - Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. Thought to Remember: Against All Odds you are still victorious. Scripture Reading for the Day: 1 Corinthians 15:57 May God Bless you at Your point of need! Minister Darrick D. McGhee
