Age 25: That was way back in 1987. The beginning of the year I had separated from my second husband Marc while we were living in Palmdale, CA. I then moved down and rented a room in Simi Valley, CA and lived with a wild bunch of younger people. We were an interesting collective. I was going to school in Santa Monica for NURSING and did my internships at the LA Veterans Hospital, Cedars Sinai, Santa Monica Hospital and others. I was there when Arnold and Maria had their BABY! I worked part time at an urgent care multi-disciplinary specialty in LA. Great experience. The second part of the year I moved to Los Angeles and lived in a great old, old building from the ROARING 20s! My apartment had built in’s like an old fashioned ice box with access to the hallway for ice delivery and terrific window seats! It even had a built in vanity! I drove a Chevy Nova (which in 1985 was made by Geo which was really Toyota…) which I purchased myself BRAND NEW after moving to CA from NY. My best friend from NY Wayne moved to CA and we wound up living together the next year. I miss him so much!!!
