Ageing- is it fictitious? A sea anemone retracts when threatened. So does a worm. We too have these responses . A cascade of neural impulses from face to neck to arms to torso to legs and toes. This impulse begins in the lower level brain stem. Creating contrations in the body as it goes, its so rapid we cant consciously perceive it Leaving behind forward head posture, dowagers hump, rounded shoulders, shallow breath, aching limbs. Contracted abs and depressed rib cage. Contracted diaphragm. This is called the red light reflex. Its a response to external stress and internal anxieties Its a neuromuscular response to stress When we worry we contract skin creating worry lines The neck position changes The shoulders change Stress creates postural changes and ageing Looking at pain differently ....
