Agenda 21 was established in 1992 by 178 signatory countries, it is the result of the Earth Summit. In 2012 it was reaffirmed by 180 countries in the meeting called Rio+20. 172 governments participated, with 116 sending their heads of state or government. Some 2,400 representatives of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) attended, with 17,000 people at the parallel NGO Global Forum (also called Forum Global), who had Consultative Status. An important achievement was an agreement on the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change which in turn led to the Kyoto Protocol. Another agreement was to not carry out any activities on the lands of indigenous peoples that would cause environmental degradation or that would be culturally inappropriate. In 2007 this led to the development of the Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, which was signed by most nations and finally signed by the US, the UK and a few other nations that had previously refused in 2011. Despite these agreements by countries and NGO organizations which included churches and other nonprofits responsible for its acknowledgement. Relative to Indigenous peoples the biggest violators are corporations and churches that persist today. In 2006 while I was in Venezuela President Hugo Chávez ordered the removal of Mormons and other Christian Missionaries (which called themselves the new tribes) that were meddling with indigenous culture, violating human rights, and were engaged in mining and exploration activities in Amazonas, Venezuela. Governments still today out of greed and the corruption that accompanies it continue to violate these agreements, which are in essence the international law. Since the agreements nearly 100 of the signatory countries have violated these treaties and the accords. In Guyana mining concessions were given to corporations effecting rivers and tribes. In Peru oil concessions with US based corporations on indigenous lands. Even the United States through corporations, and in Mexico today economic reforms threaten language and culture with indigenous people who were forced to disregard their unique cultures. Aside from the corruption and land grabs of property that is traditional to indigenous peoples there have been 1000s of violations of the agreements before laws can be placed in force protecting unique and fragile ecosystems required to sustain our lives through the provision of Ecosystem services. These abuses need to stop now! Globcal International is not a law enforcement agency, nor an activist platform, our goals involve demonstrating sustainable solutions to comply with our future needs as humans sharing the planet, so we encourage goodwill toward the planet and its people, right now we are beginning to work on model developments with indigenous peoples to accomplish these same goals between the environment and the rest of the civilization through public diplomacy ambassadors. Please support us in the coming weeks as we introduce further developments, as you will all see we are involved in projects in Africa, South America, North America, Australia, Indonesia, India and Asia to make the world better for everyone. Many people do not understand that 80% or more of the corporations, governments and organizations have incorporated Agenda 21 and other United Nations conventions into their sustainable development. Globalization and a global currency are developments that are inevitable commercially as people broaden their horizons, gain market access and we depend more and more on one another internationally. Nationalism is something we have needed to get over for years to stop polarization of humans. We all have our place, find yours, remember the future belongs to those who prepare for it! The big qualms now are based on borders, customs, discrimination, duties and establishing integral systems for fair-trade and international commerce. If change is implemented too quickly millions would be dislocated and unemployed, so change needs to occur gradually. Meanwhile people scramble in front of the wave of change to preserve old styles of ruthless exploitation. Many people fear Agenda 21 because it restricts corporations from the liberal development they once enjoyed when they trashed the planet over the past 150 years, so they organize campaigns creating propaganda driven community activists groups; the Koch Brothers, Rupert Murdoch, DuPont and other transnationals are forced to comply with these changes which they object to, many of them are making the changes like Dupont others are fighting it like the Koch Brothers and Murdoch. There are a wide range of ways to incorporate sustainability in our civilization, our model projects are being developed to respect these guidelines and comply with fair trade, sustainable design, common ecosystem awareness...
